On Saturday, August 25, we hosted an End of Summer- Pirate Pool Party at our house. We invited some of mine and Tyler's friends to this exciting celebration. These are people that we have spent the summer with at the beach and playdates.
The children were mailed a cool pirate party invite providing them with the longitude/latitude of Dover Cove (our house). As the guests arrive, each received a pirate hat and were lead to the pool where blow-up swords were kept and the fun began. While the children swam, the women chatted and the men grilled. After dinner, we went to the front to eat of the Pirate cake and play some games including a treasure hunt and hit the pinata. We had barrels of laughs as the evening drew near.
We all said our good-byes for the evening and to another wonderful season. Happy Summer!

I wish you were there too! It was fun to play with the kids. The cake was from Publix and after the cake is eaten, you can play with the pieces in the sand and build your own pirate ship. Hopefully we can do that soon.
